We didn’t build Built For D1 for the world. We built it for our son.

As parents of three basketball-loving boys, we’ve made every mistake in the book. Our oldest? He played rec ball, went to a few camps—but never made it past JV. Not because he didn’t care. We just didn’t know what real development looked like.

With our second son Jalen, we learned more. We found the AAU circuit, met trainers, and even tried strength programs—but by then, it was late in the game. COVID hit. He trained hard but never had a full runway. Today, he trains young athletes and pours into others what he learned too late.

Then came our youngest, Sebastian. He’s had access to everything—great coaches, private trainers, elite camps. But even with all of that, we still saw the same problem...

🎯 How do you know if the work is enough? Is it just shots taken? Drills finished? TikToks skipped?

We built Built For D1 to measure the work. Not the hype. Not the vibes. The actual grind.

We built it because we wanted our son to stop guessing—and so we could stop nagging.

We're not just a tech family. We’re a basketball family. And like many of you—we were tired of wondering if the investment (of time, money, energy) was really paying off.

I still remember one of my AAU dad friends telling me:

“I think my son only trains when I’m paying for it. He’ll go outside and shoot a little, but I have no idea what’s actually happening.”

That hit me. Because I felt the same way.

Built For D1 is for every parent, player, and trainer who’s tired of guesswork.

It gives young athletes a system. A scoreboard for their grind. And a way for parents to finally feel peace of mind without having to coach, chase, or cheerlead 24/7.

This started as a tool for our family.

Now, it’s here for yours.
